ANN LUTH

Founding Partner

Ann is a strategic and results-oriented executive whose experience spans over 35 years in the global financial services industry. Her broad skill set was acquired through many key roles in management and project leadership across the operations, technology, asset management, and business architecture areas of a Fortune 500 company. She brings expertise in digital transformation design and delivery, operational efficiency, and data management practices, applicable to all industries.

Ann began her career as an employee benefits accountant for Northern Trust Corporation in 1982. Ann quickly progressed to become the manager of the master trust business and was responsible for the transition of assets for all new master trust clients. Over the years, Ann applied operational leadership, project management skills, and Six Sigma blackbelt expertise to lead the development, user acceptance testing, and change management of many projects for the enterprise.

Ann transitioned to a less than full-time schedule and became one of the very first part-time professional employees at Northern Trust. In this capacity, she influenced leadership in alternative workforce concepts and demonstrated the value of retaining talent while enabling work-life balance. Ann spent the next several years in the Asset Management business leading the data management and client reporting teams; migrating functions from the front office; and standardizing processes to create bandwidth, improve accuracy, mitigate risks, and enhance client service. Additionally, Ann served as the president of the organization’s Diversity and Inclusion Council.

With her vast knowledge of Northern Trust’s operations and her expertise in digital transformation design, and delivery, Ann became a key business architecture partner for Northern Trust Corporation. She led the activities to create a future state operating model for the enterprise, incorporating updated technology, optimal organization structure, and process improvements. She also managed an internal consulting team that identified, measured, and implemented optimization opportunities by leveraging technology, sourcing, organizational alignment, and process redesign solutions. Efforts resulted in reduction of hundreds of headcount and net income benefit of many millions of dollars.

Ann retired in 2018 from Northern Trust Corporation and spent a few years in Europe consulting, mentoring, and traveling. She now lives in Naples, FL, with her husband. They have five grown children. She currently acts as the president of her condominium association board and has designed and now teaches a financial literacy course to support local charitable organizations.
